Daniel, Guitar (Pop / Jazz)
Combining classical finger styles with pop-jazz orientations, DANIEL has brought a wider range of sounds to the bands that he plays in. Besides his ability to play the guitar in the band, his finger style technique enables him to play ‘band in the guitar’ or ‘un-accompanied solo guitar’. This is achieved by simultaneously playing chords, bass lines and melodies with only one guitar. With mixture of latin, jazz and funk, Daniel’s unique style lies in his constant exploration of new guitar sounds. Daniel started learning guitar as a hobby, but at the end he became a professional musician after graduating from his engineering study in Surabaya (Indonesia).
Daniel played as a resident musician mostly in five-star hotels in Surabaya, such as Shangri-la, JW Marriot, The Westin, Sheraton, Hyatt. Later, Daniel travelled to Singapore where he played with Babes Conde (The Singapore idols vocal coach) for the 1st anniversary of the Esplanade, Jose Mari Chan (Filipino Diva) at Victoria Concert Hall, Kumar's Valentine show 2005, Babes Conde in Esplanade Concert Hall (Chinese Golden Hits 80's), Adlan Cruz (Puerto Rican well-known pianist) for his concert in Singapore, Robert Fernando in his concert 2007, and many more.
