Violin Individual Course
In this course, we prepare students for ABRSM (Associated Board of Royal School of Music) graded exam. This examination system covers Grade 1 (lowest grade) to Grade 8 (highest grade).
Aim & Objectives/Expected Outcomes
In this course, every child will receive individual attention from the teacher. Building music repertoire will be emphasized here. The student will be consistently guided to develop a good posture, produce good tone and also play with good intonation. The learning process is broken down into several small steps so the child will continually experience success. The child will learn how to possess good practice habit as this is vital for him/her to produce best efficient result. The main aim is to develop and set up a system for the child to be able to produce good quality music and be able to attain it by themselves in the future. Students in this course will be encouraged to prepare for ABRSM GRADED exam. On the average, students can progress by 1 grade in every 1 to 1 ½ year.
Target Students/Admission Requirements
The age group for the students for this course will be 4 years and above. There will be no musical background required.

- Scales and arpeggio studies using
- Violin Elementary Progressive Studies Set 1, 2 and 3 by Herbert Kinsey
- Wohlfahrt Violin Studies
- Refinement in violin holding posture and correct bowing technique
- Monthly ensemble class
- Rhythm training
- Sight reading skill
- Left & right hand technique exercises.
